Attendance and Examinations

ADMITTED STUDENTS

All courses have an annual duration.

Attendance at courses, including all optional and in-depth courses with practical exercises, is compulsory by law. Absences cannot exceed 25% of the total hours of the courses scheduled each year; otherwise, the student will lose that academic year.

Students who are up to date with their study program and fee payments may take exams on the dates set by the school. Exams taken without proper payment of fees will be canceled automatically.

No prerequisites are required between courses.

The methods for assessing the work completed include:
a) verification of attendance at all courses (core mandatory, optional, and in-depth courses, none excluded) offered by the school each year;
b) verification of participation in practical activities and similar exercises (in in-depth courses or work sites);
c) written or oral exams for each course.

Each specialization student must pass eleven core exams and three optional exams, for a total of fourteen out of fifteen courses, in order to be eligible to defend their diploma thesis. Exams are held across five sessions from June to November each year. Exam grades for these courses are expressed on a 30-point scale, while the diploma exam is graded on a 70-point scale.

Please note that, pursuant to Article 211 of Presidential Decree 979/85, students must pass all core exams of their year by the November-December session to be admitted to the next academic year. Optional exams may be taken during the first and second year or all during the second year, chosen freely after completing attendance. Students who fail to attend or pass all required exams may repeat the year only once.

AUDITORS

In addition to admitted students, individuals may participate as auditors by submitting a simple written request to the school director. Acceptance is subject to available space. Auditors are not required to attend regularly. Auditors who attend classes regularly and later apply for admission may, if accepted, be exempted from attendance requirements proportional to their prior attendance as auditors.
