Prof. Giovanni Carbonara passed away on February 1st at the age of 80. Emeritus Professor of Restoration, he was the director of the School of Specialization in Monument Restoration (now the School of Specialization in Architectural and Landscape Heritage), where he dedicated his profound intellectual and human values with courage and respect. His students embraced his teachings and are today active in academia, cultural heritage offices, public institutions, and the professional field.
His thought and his school will continue to guide scientific research and serve as a precious model of humanity and generosity.
